How can my friend try to hook up with me after telling me she can't date? Is this just friend zone bs?

Wow that's super confusing. Maybe it's true she doesn't know what she wants so she isn't trying to make any sort of commitment right now. It seems like she has more than friend feelings for you but doesn't know what to do with them in this time of her life. I think you need to just make the decision for yourself to give up on trying to be with her because or her hot and cold nature or keep trying to understand her and make it happen.Hope this helps.
