I got caught shoplifting at frys in california....i need real advice.?

i am 22years old and i got caught shoplifting at frys in oxnard ca.i regret it one hundred percent,and if i knew then,what i know now i never would of even step foot into frys.the lp put me in handcuffs right away...and i had to sign papers...one being that i can not return to any frys...or i will be arrested for trestpassing......another one having to do with a civial..something...basicly stating that i have to pay frys an outragous amount of money...and another paper im not sure of....they called the cops....and the cop gave me a paper to go be booked at opd,and obviously a ticket where i am "charged"with petty theft.i am waiting for court which i go july 22nd..i was told i can pleed "no contest" and things will be a little better for me....will i really be put on probation???i think that its a little much...yes its a crime...but i dont think probation is right...i accept responsibilty one hundred percent...i regret doing it...and i do deserve punishment...but i dont even have a job to even pay for ths some a
